Serafima Maksimova, assistant of the Urology department with the Course of IAPE at BSMU, awarded the II degree diploma at VII Interregional Practical Conference “Cell technology-practical health care” in Yekaterinburg

On 6 December 2018 the delegation of the Bashkir State Medical University, took part in the VII Interregional Practical Conference "Cell technologies – practical health care" in Yekaterinburg. The members of the delegation are Adel Izmailov, Professor of the Urology department, the Deputy chief physician for Medical Work of BSMU Clinic, Serafima Maksimova, assistant of the Urology department, Yana Slesarenko, senior researcher of the Cell Cultures laboratory, Timur Bikkuzin, assistant of the Ophthalmology department, Gulnara Gaysina, assistant of the Pharmacology department. Institute of Medical Cell Technologies and Sverdlovsk Regional Oncology Center and Ural State Medical University organized the conference. The scientists from leading institutions of St. Petersburg, Moscow and Russian regions attended the conference. The participants of the conference discussed issues related to basic research in Oncology and Cell technology, experiments in the use of standardized anticancer vaccines based on autologous dendritic cells.

BSMU conducts the research on the use of stromal-vascular fraction of autologous adipose tissue in urology and orthopedics under the guidance of Valentina Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, together with colleagues from Regensburg (Germany). The results of application of stromal-vascular fraction from autologous adipose tissue in stress urinary incontinence in men were reported in the framework of the plenary report of the conference by Serafima Maksimova. The report was awarded theII degree diploma.
