From 2 to 5 December Moscow hosted the International Forum of Volunteers. It is the final event of the Year of Volunteer in Russia. The event is dedicated to the National and International Volunteer day, which is officially celebrated on 5 December. In 2018, the forum was held for the fifth time, for the first time it had the international status. Participants of the event are more than 15 thousand volunteers from Russia and foreign countries.
At the forum BSMU Volunteer Center was represented by Firyuza Shingareev, 6th-year student of the faculty of General Medicine, regional coordinator of the all-Russian public movement in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Aliya Mavlyutova, 4th-year student of the faculty of Pediatrics, head of the international direction at BSMU Volunteer Center, Elizaveta Kuznetsova, 3rd-year student of the faculty of General Medicine, head of the event direction at BSMU Volunteer Center, Ilmira Yusaeva, 2nd-year student of the faculty of Pediatrics, the press-Secretary of BSMU Volunteer Center, and Julia Sharapova, 2nd-year student of the faculty of General Medicine.
Aliya Mavlyutova, the head of the international direction of the BSMU Volunteer Center, became the speaker of the presentation session "The best acceleration projects "Volunteer of Russia". Aliya told the forum participants about her project "Helping hands-lessons of friendship between peoples". It should be reminded that this project became the winner of the regional stage of the all-Russian contest "Volunteer of Russia". Aliya also spoke about the experience of participation with the project in acceleration, which took place on September 20-23 in Aleksin, Tula region. The winners of the projects were determined at the International Forum of Volunteers. The project "Helping hands - lessons of friendship between peoples" entered the 10 TOP best volunteer projects in Russia in the category "Help for children".
At the end of the forum, Aliya together with the finalists of the contest and representatives of the brightest projects participated in the meeting with Sergei Kirienko, the first Deputy head of the Presidential Administration. The participants of the meeting told Sergey Kirienko about their projects and made proposals for the modernization and expansion of geography. Aliya Mavlyutova told about "Helping hands" and the development of international volunteering in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
