Bashkir State Medical University and Samarkand State Medical Institute signed the agreement on cooperation

From 30 November till 1 December 2018, Samarkand State Medical Institute hosted the Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "Innovative technologies in medicine". More than 150 delegates from medical universities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Bashkortostan attended the conference. Professor Valeriy Sataev, head of the Pediatric Surgery course of the Institute of Postgraduate Education at BSMU, presented the Bashkir State Medical University at the conference.

The agreement on cooperation between the Bashkir State Medical University and Samarkand State Medical Institute of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed within the framework of the conference. According to the agreement both universities will carry out joint projects in the field of medical education, science and health, organization of joint scientific and educational symposia, conferences and forums, the implementation of the program of exchange of students, interns and graduate students to undertake short courses.

According to the results of the conference, Professor Valery Sataev was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Samarkand State Medical Institute.
