II Emergency patient care Olympiad 2018 in BSMU

On 7 December Dean’s office for international students organized and held the lecture as masterclass of the Emergency Patient Care Olympiad.

There is urgent need of a healthcare in every locality. The Olympiad gives a drill practice of diagnosing a disease or injury at early stages and providing effective cure. It should be pointed out that such types of programs are essential to ensure a disease free nation.
The purpose of this qualitative program was to examine the treatment effectiveness of our education program, and with the help of the tutor group the participants quite justified their perspective.
The tutor group members gave the students the lecture where they taught the way to perform CPR and treat different types of trauma conditions. Then they presented the master class. Students in different groups for their better understanding performed and mastered the techniques on models presented by the BSMU Simulation Centre. The students took a great initiative and showed active participation by performing and keenly learning, various types of emergency practices. 
The next step in their stair of knowledge of emergency care will be the MCQ test based on the astonishing previous lectures.
The aim of such practices is to encourage the medical students to be ready to help at any time and to ensure that they know all the emergency practices performed during an emergency case.
