BSMU students became bronze medal winners at the Student Kickboxing Championship of Russia 2019
From 31 January to 3 February Omsk hosted the Student Kickboxing Championship of Russia 2019. More than 350 participants from 50 universities of Russia took part in the competition.
The honor of the University defended: Rasul Babayev (2nd year student of the faculty of Dentistry), Ikrom Zaynidinov (4th year student of the faculty of General Medine) and Bakhtovar Rakhmonov (4th year student of the faculty of Dentistry). Coaches are Rinat Galiakberov and Alexander Tolkachyov.
During the hard struggle Rasul Babayev and Bakhtovar Rakhmonov took the third place at the Student Kickboxing Championship of Russia 2019. Ikrom Zaynidinov showed character, willpower and lost to a more skilled opponent with only a few points.

The Student Kickboxing Championship of Russia is a prestigious competition in this kind of sport. It is attended by members of the Russian national teams, who further defend the honor of the country at the World and European Championships. The level of qualification of participants is also very high. Masters of sports, masters of sports of international class, honored masters of sports enter the ring. Among athletes there are also champions of Russia and Europe. Therefore, bronze awards of our students can be equated to gold.
