BSMU Clinic hosted the master class “The Use of suture surgical materials of the new generation in coronary artery bypass grafting”

On 14 March BSMU Clinic hosted at the Cardiac Surgery department of the Cardiovascular and X-ray Surgery branch the master class “The Use of suture surgical materials of new generation in coronary artery bypass grafting”. Alexey Pavlov, head of the Cardiac Surgery department of BSMU Clinic, held the master class.

- I have recently moved from Astrakhan to Ufa to work in BSMU Clinic. There are all conditions for fruitful scientific and practical work in the field of cardiovascular and x-ray surgery, - said Alexey Pavlov.

As part of the master class, a young man was operated on in a pre-heart attack with atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries. The operation was performed without stopping the heart.

- Off-pam surgery avoids the development of strokes, because we do not manipulate the affected vessel. And we use special devices that minimize the risk of strokes, - said Alexey Pavlov.

The master class was broadcast to the lecture hall on-line for students, residents, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
