On 15 March 2019 the official opening of the new BSMU educational and sports complex at 6, Repin str. was held. Ruslan Gaynullin, head of the Physical training department of BSMU, attended the opening. Rail Abzalilov, chairman of the sports club of BSMU, teachers of the Physical training department and students were present at the opening, too.
- Dear students, teachers and ourguests. Let me congratulate all of you on this remarkable day! The new BSMU training complex began operating today. The building is in excellent condition. There are all conditions to train, conduct classes and competitions. The spacious games room allows for hold competitions in basketball, mini-football, volleyball, cricket and many other sports. In the near future, part of the training will be held here. We express our gratitude to the management of the University for supporting the development of sports. New sports facilities are new opportunities for athletes and coaches, " Ruslan Gaynullin said in his welcoming address.
After the official part, a friendly volleyball match was held. In the first BSMU official competition in a new sports complex the mixed teams consisting of members of the University’s female team and the teachers of the Physical training department met. Friendship won the match. The participants were satisfied with the quality of the site and lighting.
Nowadays, the University possesses BSMU №10 building. The new sports complex will help to unload the existing complex and will give a new impetus to the development of sports in our University.
