BSMU students and teachers took part in the 37th Open City Festival on Water Tourism “Spring Rally – 2019”

The festival was held on 21 April 2019 in Ufa. More than 500 fans of water sports and tourism attended it. Thirty BSMU students and teachers represented the honor of the University.

– Our University has a rich history and traditions of water sports, – said Ruslan Gainullin, head of the Physical Culture department of BSMU. – BSMU students became prize-winners and winners on sea all-around, sailing tourism several times. Thanks to the support of the University management, this tradition continues to this day. Our students participate in many festivals, competitions in sailing. Medical students annually participate in the "Spring Rally" and show good results. I wish the participants of the festival to start well and finish safely! Good luck!

The participants started at the Congress Hall Embankment. Watermen finished at the "Glade of health", located in the area of the sports complex "Biathlon". All comers could participate in the following classes of rowing boats: kayaks and single kayaks; kayak-two soft shell, men's crew; kayak-two soft shell, mixed crew, catamarans, inflatable double and quadruple; rafts and rafts sextuple; free class (frame, frame-inflatable, inflatables, sailing boats).

The length of the distance on the Belaya River was 17 kilometers.

All participants finished safely and received a charge of positive emotions.
