BSMU participates in the work of the Russian-Chinese Association “Volga-Yangtze”

On 23-24 May, the Second Forum of the Association of Universities of the Volga Federal district of the Russian Federation and the provinces of the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River of China was held. Professor Zagidullin Naufal, head of BSMU Department on Development of Cooperation and Partnership, attended the forum.

Sergey Dmitriev, rector of Nizhny Novgorod State Polytechnic University, on Russian side, and Li Ianzhun, President of Sichuan University, on Chinese side, chairs the Association.

The University actively participates in the work of the Association. In particular, there are student exchanges, internships, joint programme for postgraduate studies, research, workshops and scientific conferences between BSMU and the Universities of Nanchang, Sichuan University and the University of Jiangxi.

Professor Naufal Zagidullin presented the report about the success of the cooperation between the Bashkir State Medical University and Chinese universities that are members of the Association. The meeting was held with Professor Lee Yangjong, President of Sichuan University, and Professor Yan Shijin, Vice President of Sichuan University. It should be pointed out, that BSMU is developing the most successful cooperation with Sichuan University. Current and future forms of cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
