Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and Bashkir State Medical University signed the cooperation agreement

On 4 September Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, met with Professor Karl-Herbert Schaefer, Vice-President for Research Work at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences (Germany). The agreement on cooperation between Bashkir State Medical University and Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences (Germany) was signed at the meeting.

According to the agreement, the sides plan to implement joint projects in the field of science and healthcare, conduct joint scientific and educational symposiums, conferences and forums, to realize exchange programs for students, residents, graduate students and doctors.

On 2 September Professor Karl-Herbert Schaefer took part in opening of a new academic building of the University and the Institute of Public Health and Healthcare Organization. On 3 September, he took part in the V Forum of Pediatric Surgeons of Russia with international participation and I Russian – Chinese Congress of Pediatric Surgeons. It should be pointed out, that it was dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of Healthcare of Bashkortostan, the 55^th anniversary of the Pediatric Surgical Service organization in Bashkortostan and the 50^th anniversary of the Pediatric Surgery Department of BSMU.
