“Mastering Excellences in Studies” club has study cases on Microsurgical Suture Technique

Continuing the baton of the “Useful Holidays” program being implemented for the first time, the “Mastering Excellences in Studies” club of the dean's office for working with foreign students organized the study case on the Microsurgical Suture Technique for the active part of the student body. Under the leadership of Aria Nader Rajabovich, the deputy dean, teacher of the Operative Surgery department, students had the opportunity to try themselves as vascular surgeons.

Volunteer mentors helped the leader. Among them there were Russian senior students and Russian-speaking foreign students who speak English: Vildanov Tagir Rafaelovich (group 604V, faculty of General Medicine), Khamitov Firat Faidovich (group 403B, faculty of General Medicine), Otabekov Fakhriddin Furkatovich (group 314B, faculty of General Medicine), Tukhtaboev Afzal Khuseynovich (group 313A, faculty of General Medicine). The club meeting was attended by 26 students.

Traditionally, the participants started with the theoretical part: Types of microsurgical instruments, suture material used in microsurgery, ergonomics of the surgeon during long-term operations, and an indicative master class on the basic end-to-end microsurgical suture technique. At the end of the lesson, all participants divided into pairs and tried themselves as operators and assistants in performing the basic end-to-end microsurgical suture.
It is noteworthy that over time, the club has become the platform of international friendship.
For the first time in the New Year holidays, there is the opportunity for self-study not only in the Scientific Library, but also as part of organized self-study groups led by Aria N.R. from 15-00 to 20-00 in the room 51 of the educational BSMU building №2.
