Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, and Aybulat Khazhyn, Minister of Education of RB, held the open lesson for students at school

On January 24, Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, and Aybulat Khazhin, Minister of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan, held the lesson for students of the 10th grade at School №162 "Smart" in Ufa, who are studying in the specialized medical class.
Valentin Pavlov told the students about the world and Russian trends in the development of Medicine and Healthcare and showed University developments, priority areas of activity and joint projects of BSMU with foreign medical centers and universities.
- As part of the project "Medical classes in Ufa schools", we conduct career guidance training with students, prepare for final exams and University studies, one of the stages of this work was today's open lesson. This work allows us to identify points of growth, identify possible problems and identify the most capable and talented children to leave them in Ufa and create all conditions for them to receive quality knowledge in their native Republic, - said Prof. Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS.
During the open lesson, students asked the rector questions about promising areas in Medicine of the present and future, targeted training, and about the life path of Valentin Pavlov.
The results of the lesson were summed up by Aybulat Khazhin, Minister of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and answered students’ questions about the features of the upcoming unified state exam.
On September 1, 2019, an agreement was signed with the Administration of the Ufa city on the establishing the project "Medical classes in the Ufa school". Criteria and indicators were developed for selecting 11 schools included in this project. Students of grades 10 and 11 attend medical classes. During two years, they are deeply engaged in Chemistry and Biology, as well as studying additional subjects on the basis of BSMU: Anatomy, Physiology, etc.
