Days of Health have gone in BSMU hostels

During the winter holidays on February 5-7, the curators organized and held Days of health for international students with the involvement of the Center for Medical Prevention (A. R. Sharipova, head of the Department of monitoring risk factors for non-communicable diseases), Department of Infectious Diseases with the Course of IAPE(associate Professor A. N. Burganova).

Continuing the series of sports and recreation activities during the holidays, the Dean's office for work with international students offered information and educational activities for the remaining students in the hostels. Assistant of the Therapy and Nursing department A. T. Zulkarnayeva told the students about ways to strengthen their health while adapting to harsh climatic conditions that are new for many of them.

Students asked many questions on the prevention of coronavirus 2019-nCoV, which made it necessary to allocate this topic in a separate block. Students were familiarized with the memo, which was prepared by the Russian Ministry of Health. The memo shows how the virus is transmitted and a detailed list of symptoms and complications of infection. The recommendations presented take into account actual data published by experts from the world health organization, the Chinese, European, and the centers for disease control. To prevent infection, recommendations of safety measures were read out: do not visit the centers of the disease, avoid attending mass events and contacts with sick people, wash your hands more often, and use medical masks. Special attention was paid to the positive result when detecting infection – in any case, do not self-medicate, and urgently consult a doctor.
