Republican Scientific and Practical Conference Regenerative Medicine and Surgical Hepatology was held in Ufa

On February 14, 2020, G. G. Kuvatov Republican Clinic started the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference Regenerative Medicine and Surgical Hepatology.

Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, Maxim Zabelin, Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Vil Timerbulatov, President of the Association of Surgeons of the Republic of Bashkortostan, corresponding member of RAS, opened the Conference.

In honor of the 60th anniversary and for his contribution to the development of healthcare, Medal named after A. Vishnevsky and the honorary diploma of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan were awarded to Professor Mazhit Nartailakov, head of the General Surgery department with the Course of Radiation Diagnostics IAPE at BSMU, honored doctor of the Russian Federation and Bashkortostan, multiple winner of the Golden Scalpel award. At the Conference Professor Mazhit Nartailakov presented the report on the results of 25 years of work of the Republican Center for Surgical Hepatology.

Leading surgeons and scientists of Bashkortostan, Russia, and Kazakhstan made presentations at the Conference.

BSMU Clinic hosted the second day of the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference Regenerative Medicine and Surgical Hepatology. Professor Mazhit Nartailakov, head of the General Surgery department with the Course of Radiation Diagnostics IAPE at BSMU, and Professor Eduard Gallyamov, head of the General Surgery department at Sechenov University, held the study case of surgical treatment of focal liver diseases.

Concurrently, two operating rooms were broadcast to the lecture hall, which was followed by students and residents of Bashkir State Medical University, and surgeons of the Republic.

The laparoscopic team led by Professor Eduard Gallyamov performed surgery on the liver affected by parasites (a disease that develops as a result of penetration into the human body and the development of the larval stage of the tapeworm Echinococcus).

The second team of surgeons led by Professor Mazhit Nartailakov performed the open operation to remove a tumor on the liver.

Artem Tarasenko, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Education and Personnel Policy in Healthcare of the Russian Ministry of Healthcare, greeted the participants of the study case.
