Artem Izosimov, Deputy Dean of the Dentistry faculty of BSMU, reached the final of the competition “Leaders of Russia 2020” in the specialty “Healthcare”

The names of the finalists of the Leaders of Russia 2020 management competition are announced.  It should be mentioned, Leaders of Russia 2020 is considered the flagship project of the presidential platform Russia is the Country of Opportunities in the specialty Healthcare. In the final of the competition, the Republic of Bashkortostan will be represented by Dinar Gabdrakhmanov (Republican Clinical Perinatal Center), Gulnara Idrisova (Republican Cardiology Center), Artem Izosimov (Bashkir State Medical University), Bogdan Oleynik (Republican Cardiology Center).

Two hundred thirty-seven participants from 54 regions of Russia took part in the semi-final of the competition Leaders of Russia 2020 in the specialty Healthcare. Mikhail Murashko, Russian Minister of healthcare, emphasized the inadmissibility of separating organizational healthcare from practical healthcare, the importance of digitalizing the healthcare system and popularizing the medical profession. He also noted the high potential of the contest participants.

- Active professionals are gathered here. We discussed current issues on the agenda: financial models, improving the quality of medical care, responsibility for patient health, medical education, and many other issues. I am sure that the participants will contribute to solving existing health problems,”- Mikhail Murashko said.

Alexey Komissarov, head of the Leaders of Russia competition and General Director of the Russia is the Country of Opportunities, said that 9,745 applications were submitted for the specialty Healthcare from medical practitioners and healthcare organizers from all regions of Russia. Two hundred thirty-seven people made it to the semifinals and participated in competitive tests, discussions, business games, study cases and strategy sessions over three days.

The Leaders of Russia contest is implemented by the Autonomous non-profit organization Russia is the Country of Opportunities on behalf of the President of Russia and is the flagship project of the platform of the same name, which unites 23 projects. The Russian Presidential Academy of national economy and public administration supports the competition.

The Leaders of Russia 2020 management competition received 233,830 applications from all regions of Russia and 68 countries. In the 2019-2020 season, separate specializations were introduced in addition to the main competition. The leader in the number of applications was the specialty Finance and Technology – 61.732 registrations, 22.272 applications were submitted for the specialty Science and 9.745 – for the specialty Healthcare.

The goals of the competition are to identify, develop and support promising managers with a high level of leadership qualities and managerial competencies. Over two years, more than 150 Russian Leaders have been appointed to high positions: two of them have become governors, and five have become Deputy Federal Ministers.
