BSMU Clinic has launched COVID-19 Hospital
As it was informed before, Clinic of Bashkir State Medical University has organized the department for new virus infected patients. COVID-19 Hospital is located in the Therapeutic building, a separate nine-floor building. Read morehttps://www.bashgmu.ru/en/news/28396/ Nowadays it has sufficient resources for the diagnosis and treatment of infection, additional ventilators have been purchased, and boxed wards have been prepared.
The whole staff is involved in the fight against coronavirus. They received detailed instructions and additional training on the diagnosis of COVID-19, as well as the reception and treatment of patients.
In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, staff works in shifts, for 14 days. All conditions are created for their stay in the hospital.
The team starts working as a part of 51 people. The team includes 11 doctors, residents, and senior students who have certificates confirming passing of the admission exam for the implementation of medical or pharmaceutical activities in the positions of secondary medical staff.
- Today, these daredevils are starting to fight the insidious virus, - said the rector of BSMU Valentin Pavlov in his account in social networks. President Vladimir Putin proposed to involve interns and medical students in the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection. They will get a huge experience working in a team with the best doctors of the University clinic.
Speaking about the increased burden on medical staff, Vladimir Putin said: "It is equally important to ensure the necessary composition of secondary medical personnel, including with the involvement of interns and students of medical schools."
