On May 10-11, 2020, the first all-Russian Trade Union online forum was held. The forum was organized by Bashkir State Medical University in association with the BSMU students’ Trade Union.
Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, chaired the Forum. Co-chairs were Raul Khalfin, Chairman of the Republican organization of Bashkortostan of the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of the Russian Federation, and Salavat Shamsutdinov, Chairman of the BSMU students’ Trade Union.
The forum was attended by more than 150 members of trade Union organizations from medical universities of the country and medical faculties of universities: Sechenov University, People's Friendship University of Russia, and A. I. Evdokimov Moscow State Medical and Dental University, Pyatigorsk Medical and Pharmaceutical Institute, Kazan Federal University, Samara State Medical University, Orenburg State Medical University, Altai State Medical University, Kirov State Medical University, Far Eastern State Medical University, South Ural State Medical University, Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Academician E. A. Wagner Perm State Medical University, Smolensk State Medical University, and Bashkir State Medical University.
The key mission of the Forum was to promote new ideas that stimulate the development of the Trade Union movement, as well as to create conditions for their further implementation.
Speakers and experts of the Forum were prominent figures and leaders of trade Union organizations of medical and pharmaceutical universities, who shared their knowledge and experience in the organization of student self-government.
The participants of the Forum discussed topical issues of the trade Union movement in medical universities of the Russian Federation, talked over the organization of remote learning in higher education institutions, and held round tables with the participation of the chairmen of trade Union organizations of medical universities of the Russian Federation.
All participants received the materials of the forum and certificates in remote learning format.
