Surgeons of Ufa and Moscow perform the online operation battle

On June 20, the online expert session on bladder cancer was held.

Valentin Pavlov, rector of Bashkir State Medical University, head of the Urology department performed the robot-assisted surgical operation at BSMU Clinic. On the basis of the A. I. Burnazyan Medical Center, FMBA of Russia, Professor Eduard Gallyamov, head of the General Surgery department of the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, performed the same laparoscopy operation. Both Valentin Pavlov and Eduard Gallyamov coped with the task brilliantly. They successfully performed a cystectomy with the formation of Bricker's ileoconduit.

The online expert session was kind of study case with leading medical universities not only in Russia, but also in the world. Doctors from Germany, China and other countries watched the operation online. The average amount of the audience was about 10 thousand people.

It should be reminded, that a large surgical conference was planned in Ufa this summer with the participation of foreign guests, which had to be canceled due to the pandemic. That is why today it took place remotely.
