Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, meet with rectors of universities of the Republic of Bashkortostan

On June 30, Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, and Radiy Khabirov, Head of Bashkortostan, took part in the panel session of the international urban forum Territory of the Future. View from the Heart of Eurasia. Its theme was Research and Education Center as a Driver of Urban Development.

The participants of the meeting discussed the peculiarities of modern approaches to create the educational space and the prospects to integrate educational institutions into territorial development projects and industry-specific business strategies. One of these projects is the establishment of the Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center in Bashkortostan. The Russian Ministry of Education and Science is currently considering this initiative.

According to Minister Valery Falkov, the integration of science, education and business, being at the basis of Scientific and Educational Center, should be primarily aimed at the development and promotion of innovative products to the market.

– At the same time, no less important components of the Scientific and Educational Center are a high density of intellectual communication, infrastructure for research, – said Valery Falkov. – Therefore, the establishment of the center is impossible in isolation from optimal urban planning solutions implemented with the active assistance of regional authorities.

Separately, Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, met with the heads of higher education institutions of the Republic and discussed the development of science and education.
