BSMU doctors have returned from Karachay-Cherkessia after a COVID-shift

On July 6, doctors of BSMU Clinic, residents and students of BSMU returned from Karachay-Cherkessia after working in the red zone of COVID-hospital. Valentin Pavlov, rector of Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of RAS, and Maxim Zabelin, Minister of healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan, met the special team after their shift in Karachay-Cherkessia Republic.

At the request of the Ministry of healthcare of Russia, the team of 17 Republican doctors, including doctors of BSMU Clinic, students and residents of BSMU, was sent to help colleagues from Karachay-Cherkessia in the fight against coronavirus. During three weeks, Ufa doctors assisted their colleagues in treating patients with a coronavirus infection.

Valentin Pavlov, rector of Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of RAS, presented BSMU Certificates of Honor to the team for conscientious work and participation in the organization of medical care in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic in the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection.

After observing the period of self-isolation, doctors and students will start working again in COVID hospitals of Bashkortostan.
