BSMU conducts the series of lectures (webinars) with Samarkand State Medical Institute on topical issues of Pediatric Surgery and the main issues of Deontology

In December 2018, an important step was taken towards cooperation between Samarkand State Medical Institute and Bashkir State Medical University. A cooperation agreement was signed. According to the agreement it was planned to implement a whole range of tasks, including academic mobility of the teaching staff. For this purpose, both universities have a solid history and great prospects.

Achieving the tasks set, despite the current difficult times for the whole world, BSMU and SamGMI decided not to lose friendly and professional relations in the new conditions. The agreement and partnership between the two universities includes a webinar on Topical Issues of Pediatric Surgery and Deontology with the involvement of the BSMU faculty - V. U. Satayev, Professor of the Department of Pediatric Surgery with the Course of IAPE, and O. G. Afanasieva, associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy. On the part of SamGMI, Professor Sh.A. Yusupov, head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the SamGMI, and Professor Shamsiev F. A., head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery Anesthesiology Critical Care of the postgraduate education faculty at SamGMI, chief physician of SamGMI Clinic #2, are responsible for organizing the webinar.

The webinar will be held on ZOOM platform from July 4, 2020. The webinars cover the following topics: Questions of laparoscopic surgery in children, Doctor and patient: deontological aspect, Thoracoscopic surgery in children, Possibilities of retroperitoneoscopic access in children. Faculty members, residents of the master's degree program, clinical residents, and employees of SamGMI Clinic #2 take part. The total number of participants is more than 350 people. The joint events have received a response in the local press of Samarkand (the newspaper "Samarkand Bulletin" dated 11.07.2020 # 47).

Further lectures on Pediatric surgery, General issues of deontology and Deontology in the practice of a pediatric surgeon are planned.
