In anticipation of the upcoming academic year on August 27, 2020, Bashkir State Medical University and its partner universities from Samarkand (Uzbekistan) and Aktobe (Kazakhstan) held the international conference Common and Rare Diseases of the Central Nervous System. It should be reminded, that the conference was held in accordance with the regulations of BSMU about academic mobility. The conference included the lectures of Prof. Leyla Ahmadeeva and Prof. Clara Bakhtiarova, the Neurology department of BSMU, Alexei Barinov, associate Professor of the Sechenov First Moscow Medical University, and Aigul Utepkalieva, head of the Neurology department of M. Ospanov Western Kazakhstan Medical University. The main moderator was Sokhiba Khakimova, head of the Neurology course of the Samarkand Medical Institute.
Alexey Kudreiko, acting head of the Department for International Affairs of BSMU, opened the conference by expressing greetings on behalf of the BSMU leadership, emphasizing the importance of the topic under discussion and inter-University cooperation.
