Memorial plaques were installed to the founders of the Bashkir school of therapists – Dmitry Tatarinov and Zarif Zagidullin

On September 4, 2020, the opening of memorial plaques dedicated to Prof. D. I. Tatarinov (1877-1956) and Prof. Z. Sh. Zagidullin (1904-1982) was held at the Republican clinical hospital of war veterans on the front part of the main building facing Tukayev street. Professor D. I. Tatarinov is the founder of all departments of therapy in Bashkir State Medical Institute since 1934 and an outstanding doctor, scientist, teacher, honored scientist of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Chairman of the scientific society of doctors and therapists of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Deputy of the Supreme Council of 2 convocations. Professor Z. Sh. Zagidullin was an honored doctor of the Russian Federation and a scientist of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, head of the Hospital Therapy department. He also participated in the organization of the departments of therapy in Bashkir State Medical Institute.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan G. F. Zinnurova, Vice-rector for regional development of BSMU V. V. Viktorov, chief physician of the Republican clinical hospital of war veterans H. M. Mustafin. The ceremony was held in the presence of the professors’ relatives and numerous students.
