Emom Said Davlat, Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan, visited Bashkir State Medical University. Valentin N. Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander A. Tsyglin, Vice-rector for academic Affairs, Rasul S. Farshatov, Dean for work with foreign students, Ruslan Abdrakhimov, head of the International Affairs Department, attended the meeting. During the meeting, they discussed not only topical issues of cooperation between Bashkortostan and Tajikistan in the field of education and science, but also prospects for joint activities.
BSMU has 590 students from Tajikistan: 135 people entered the first year and 18 citizens of Tajikistan entered the residency program.
- Bashkir State Medical University occupies the leading position in terms of the number of students from Tajikistan, - said the Consul General. – Thanks to the close cooperation of the region with the Republic of Tajikistan, students undergo practical training in large clinics in Dushanbe and Khujand.
Valentin Pavlov thanked the Consulate General for assisting students, including financial assistance, during the pandemic.
