The international Congress "Covid–19: pandemic of the XXI century" completed its work with the international scientific and practical conference " Fundamental and applied aspects of immunology, genetics and Infectology»

On November 14, the International Congress Covid–19: pandemic of the XXI century with the international scientific and practical conference Fundamental and applied aspects of Immunology, Genetics and Infectology concluded its work.

The event was organized by Bashkir State Medical University in cooperation with Institute of biochemistry and genetics of the UFIC RAS, Central research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, National scientific society of infectious diseases of Russia, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Semey Medical University, Bukhara State Medical Institute, Institute of human immunology and genomics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.

The Congress was attended by 3 602 people. Eight countries were represented at the Congress (Russia, China, USA, Germany, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Ukraine).

The Congress was opened with welcoming words of Radiy F. Khabirov, head of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Then, welcoming speeches were made by: Li Hongjun, Vice Governor of Guangzhou (China); Maxim V. Zabelin, MD, Minister of healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan; Yang Baofeng, Co-Chairman of the Russian - Chinese Association of medical universities, Professor of Harbin Medical University, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering Sciences, Harbin, China; Liu Sheng, President of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, Guangdong, China.

Professor Vladimir P. Chulanov, MD, chief infectious disease freelance of Ministry of healthcare of Russia; Professor Valentin N. Pavlov, MD, corresponding member of RAS, rector of Bashkir State Medical University (Ufa, Russia); Tamara U. Aripova, MD, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Director of Institute of immunology and human genomics of Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Uzbekistan); Professor Shukhrat J. Teshaev, MD, rector of Bukhara State Medical Institute (the city of Bukhara, Uzbekistan) made welcoming speeches and their presentations.

The plenary session and 5 breakout sessions featured reports from 72 speakers from Russia, China, the USA, Germany, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. The detailed program of the Congress can be found on the website https://covid02.ru/.

The international scientific-practical conference Fundamental and applied aspects of Immunology, Genetics and Infectology and the publication of the conference participants held with the financial support of Russian Foundation for Basic Researches, project # 20-015-20013, head of the grant – Professor of infectious diseases with a course of IAPE Guzel M. Khasanova. The collection was published in the central press (St. Petersburg), posted in the RSCI, each article has its doi. The best scientific papers of the conference participants are published in the journal Medical Bulletin of Bashkortostan in 1, 2, 3, 5 issues. It is also planned to publish the 6th issue of the journal with the publication of the Congress participants’ reports.
