Military and sport multiathlon international festival among BSMU students, dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day, was held

The Festival was held on February 18 in BSMU campus #10 with the support of BSMU trade union of students and employees. The organizer is the Department of physical training. Andrew Kamzalov, Chairman of the Committee for physical culture and sports of the Kirovsky district administration of Ufa city of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Professor Ildar Sufiyarov MD, Dean of the faculty of Pediatrics, Ruslan Gainullin, head of BSMU Department of physical training, Rustam Sayakhov, associate Professor of the Department of mobilization training of health and medicine, Evgeniy Logvinenko, deputy Dean of foreign students, and holders of maroon beret, soldiers of 29th special forces named after Minagali Shaymuratova took part in the solemn opening of the Festival.

- Defender of the Fatherland Day is a holiday of honor and courage, valor and loyalty to military duty. It is gratifying that our university hosts a festival where young men will be able to show their courage, dexterity and bravery. Military-patriotic education of modern youth is one of the most important directions of the national policy of any country. It is nice to see international students among the participants! Happy holiday and good luck to all of you! – said in his welcoming speech Ildar Sufiyarov.

The invited guests made a solemn speech and wished success to the participants.

Before the start of the Festival Polina Baranova, winner of the Republican and all-Russian competitions, Master of Sports of Russia in acrobatics, performed. The militery of the 29th special purpose detachment named after Minagali Shaymuratov made the demonstration performance.

The festival program was very rich. The combined teams of the faculties competed in the following competitions: team greeting contest, darts, military quiz, arm sport, disassembly and assembly of AK-47s, air rifle shooting, first aid, paramilitary relay, tug of war.

The students showed perseverance, skill, and the will to win.

Results of the competition:

First place – Faculty of General Medicine;

Second place – Faculty of Dentistry;

Third place – BSMU Medical College;

Fourth place – Faculty of international students;

Fifth place – Faculty of Preventive Medicine and Biology;

Sixth place – Faculty of Pediatrics;

Seventh place – Faculty of Pharmacy.

The winners were awarded with medals and certificates. The event ended with a photo shoot.
