“Interdisciplinary Neurology: Post-ovoid complications in neurology” international scientific and practical conference within the framework of continuous medical education

On April 20, 2021, the international scientific and practical conference was held within the framework of the implementation of continuing medical education Interdisciplinary neurology: Post-ovoid complications in neurology in accordance with the Plan of educational scientific and practical activities of Bashkir State Medical University for 2021. The conference was organized by Bashkir State Medical University, Professor L. B. Novikova, Head of the Department of Neurology IAPE of BSMU. The conference was attended by leading scientists – neurologists of the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan: Professor L. B. Novikova, Head of the Department of Neurology IAPE of BSMU, MD, Honored Doctor of Russia and Bashkortostan; Professor E. N. Majidova, Head of the Department of Neurology, Pediatric Neurology and Medical Genetics of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Chief Neurologist of Uzbekistan, MD (Uzbekistan); Associate Professor D. T. Khodzhaeva, Head of the Department of Neurology of the Bukhara State Medical Institute, MD (Uzbekistan); Associate Professor M. T. Ganieva, Head of the Department of Neurology and Fundamentals of Medical Genetics of the Abuali Ibni Sino Tajik State University, PhD (Tajikistan); Associate Professor I. A. Zolotovskaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy of Samara State Medical University, head of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Orenburg State Medical University, Candidate of Medical Sciences (Orenburg), Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Samara City Hospital №4.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Prof. I. R. Rakhmatullina, Vice-rector of BSMU, MD, Prof. L. B. Novikova, Head of the Department of Neurology of BSMU IAPE, Prof. E. N. Majidova, Head of the Department of Neurology, Pediatric Neurology and Medical Genetics of TashPMI, Chief Neurologist of Uzbekistan, M. T. Ganieva, Head of the Department of Neurology and Fundamentals of Medical Genetics of Abuali Ibni Sino Tajik State University.

The conference program included the most relevant issues on postcovid complications in neurology – rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders associated with COVID-19, mechanisms of involvement of the central nervous system in COVID-19, impaired cerebral circulation in COVID-19, peripheral nervous system lesions in COVID-19, features of the formation of autonomic and cognitive dysfunction in patients who have suffered from COVID-19, postcovid depression. More than 290 doctors of various specialties from different cities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan participated in the conference.

The conference was held at a high level with an active discussion and detailed answers of the lecturers to the questions of the conference participants.
