Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry hosted the intra-university Olympiad in Analytical Chemistry

In May 2021, the III Intra-university Olympiad in Analytical Chemistry was held at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry with courses in analytical and toxicological chemistry. More than 30 second-year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of BSMU took part in the Olympiad.

The Olympiad was organized in accordance with Order of 08.04.2021 #187-a and was held in two stages. At the first qualifying stage, the participants of the Olympiad performed test tasks in all sections of the academic discipline Analytical Chemistry. The qualifying stage was held in a computer class using electronic educational resources. The first 10 participants with the highest number of points were admitted to the 2nd round.

During the second stage, the participants of the Olympiad answered theoretical questions on Analytical chemistry, solved situational problems on the application of universal and general professional competencies, and justified the solutions given. The theoretical stage was held in writing.

The participants of the Olympiad showed a high level of theoretical knowledge, as well as successfully demonstrated their application in solving situational problems.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the winner and prize-winners were determined:

III place-Maria Ototyuk (group 201A),

II place – Adel Baisheva (group 201B)

I place – Olga Panfilova (group 201A).

Acting Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Professor Elena Klen thanked the participants of the Olympiad and noted the importance of the Olympiad in developing the creative potential of students, increasing motivation for in-depth study of the discipline and improving the quality of education.
