BSMU and USATU joint project is among the best at the All-Russian engineering competition

In Moscow, at the site of the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI", the final of the All - Russian Engineering Competition (VIC) was held. It was the competition of final qualifying works (individual projects) for the 2020/2021 academic year.

It should be noted that 1065 students and young scientists from 118 Russian universities took part in this year's competition events. In the final, 122 participants presented their projects in priority areas of scientific and technological development of the country to experts and industry representatives. Fifty-three students and postgraduates from 26 universities became VIC winners and prize-winners.

Among them is BSMU and USATU joint project Diagnosis of malignant neoplasms based on the analysis of Raman spectra using machine learning. This work was performed by Alina Usova (a graduate of FIRT USATU) under the supervision of A. R. Bilyalov, head of the Department of Information Technologies, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics with the course of IDPO BSMU.

Alina became the winner in the category The best final qualification work of a specialist.

On the first of June, a solemn award ceremony was held, where the authors of the best final qualifying works were awarded certificates and gifts from the contest partners. All finalists will receive support from high-tech companies and additional points for admission to the master's (postgraduate) program.
