REX-Analytics rating agency has released the tenth anniversary rating of Russian universities. In total, 100 universities from 31 regions of Russia are represented in the rating. The leaders of the rating are Lomonosov Moscow State University, MIPT, MEPhI, St. Petersburg State University and HSE. Bashkir State Medical University is ranked 91st.
In addition to BSMU, from the Republic of Bashkortostan USPTU is also represented (55th place) in the rating.
The creators of the rating note the increase in the availability of higher education in the country as a whole, the strengthening of the positions of universities that train specialists for socially important areas – medicine, pedagogy and agriculture. There is also increase in the number of scientific publications indexed in international scientometric databases, and increase in the number of international students. Among the acute problems of higher education are personnel cuts. There is a decrease in the ratio of the number of faculty members per 100 students.
