Students and faculty of BSMU became participants and prize-winners of the VIII Ufa International Marathon

The competition was held on September 4, 2022 in Ufa. It was attended by 5,500 athletes and running enthusiasts from 23 countries, 35 regions, 245 cities. Including students and faculty of BSMU. More than 70 students of our university, including foreign students, took part in the competition.

Participants covered a choice of distances of 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km and 42.2. A children's 200 m race and a roller marathon were organized.

At the competition, the BSMU team was represented by students and teaching staff. At the start came: Vice-rector for Social and Educational work with students of BSMU Artur Mustafin, Head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology, MD, Professor Marcel Tuigunov, chairman of the sports club of BSMU Rail Abzalilov, senior lecturer Ilnar Salavatov, lecturers Aidar Zakiev, Alina Fedoseeva and students. All our representatives performed well and showed good results.

The participants ran through the historical part of the Bashkir capital along the main attractions — the monument to Salavat Yulaev, the Congress Hall, the fountain "Seven Maidens", the Ufa Arena ice Palace and the monument to Mustai Karim. The winners and prize-winners were awarded with commemorative medals and prizes.

It is gratifying that representatives of BSMU annually take an active part and become participants and prize-winners of the Ufa International Marathon.
