A delegation of BSMU visited partner universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan to implement academic mobility programs and participate in an international conference

The delegation of BSMU consisting of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Kudashkina N.V., Head of the Department of Pharmacology with a course of clinical Pharmacology, Samorodov A.V. and the head of the educational and methodological Department Melnikova A.Ya. made a visit to partner universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

05.10.2022 - An official meeting of the delegation of BSMU with the leadership of the Tashkent Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums at the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place, consisting of Deputy Director K.S. Makhmudzhanova, Scientific Secretary of the Research Institute N.M. Rizayeva, head of the laboratory. Professor Samorodov A.V. presented a presentation about BSMU, told about the main directions of the university's international activities, Professor Kudashkina N.V. presented information about the Faculty of Pharmacy and ongoing research projects, Head of the educational and methodological Department Melnikova A.Ya. possible prospects for the development of joint educational programs.  During the discussion of the strategy for further development of cooperation, an agreement was reached on the development of academic exchanges and the expansion of scientific cooperation.

In the afternoon, the delegation of BSMU visited the Pharmaceutical Technological University. At an official meeting with the university administration , the Vice - Rector for Academic Affairs A. Jumanov and Vice-Rector for Youth Policy N. Khusanova expressed interest in academic exchanges and joint educational events.

06.10.2022 – The delegation of BSMU took part in the I-th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Abu Ali ibn Sino and the Great Silk Road". This year the conference was attended by scientists and leading specialists of the pharmaceutical industry of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the USA, Turkey, as well as teachers and students of medical universities, representatives of state and commercial organizations of Uzbekistan. Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Kudashkina N.V. made a report on "The possibility of using herbal remedies in the complex therapy of infections of viral and bacterial origin", Head of the Department of Pharmacology with a course of clinical Pharmacology Samorodov A.V. moderated at the meeting of the conference, presenting a report on "Development of new drugs based on nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds", head of Academic Methodological Department Melnikova A.Ya. presented a report on the topic "Double degree programs as a factor in the formation of the innovative environment of the university". Also, A.V. Samorodov, in the execution of Order No. 574-a of 22.09.2022, held an international master class "Preclinical research. The main tasks, difficulties and challenges", where the main directions of preclinical research development were presented during the discussion. At the end of the conference, the delegation of BSMU met with representatives of JSC "South Kazakhstan Medical Academy" (Republic of Kazakhstan), Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute (Republic of Uzbekistan) and the leadership of the Samarkand Medical University. Representatives of the delegations of partner universities expressed interest in academic exchanges, joint research, bilateral master classes at the BSMU Clinic, as well as readiness to participate in key events of BSMU.

Within the framework of the implementation of the strategic academic leadership program "Priority 2030" on the basis of a cooperation agreement between the BSMU Ministry of Health of Russia and the SamSMU Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy. Kudashkina N.V., Head of the Department of Pharmacology with the course of Clinical Pharmacology, MD. Samorodov A.V. and the head of the Educational and Methodological Department Melnikova A.Ya. implemented three academic mobility programs on the basis of the Samarkand State Medical University in the period from 12.09.2022 to 17.09.2022.
