International Kidney Day was celebrated in BSMU

Every year, more than 250 patients are identified in the republic whose kidneys cease to function. Salvation for them is hemodialysis three times a week. But there is an option when a person can continue to live like ordinary people. This is an organ transplant. By tradition, the Interregional Public Organization of Nephrological Patients "Nephro-League" organized a number of events for this date. This is a community of active people with a transplanted kidney or who are on hemodialysis. They hold conferences, meeting evenings, where doctors are also invited. The main goal of the community is to protect the rights and legitimate interests of patients. The president of the Nephro-League, Yuri Kandalov, a retired military officer of the Pacific Fleet, not only coped with his problem, but also helps others in difficult times. A mini-football match was held today between a team of BSMU employees, doctors of the RKB named after. Kuvatov and a team of patients after organ transplantation. They played two halves of 12 minutes each. The meeting ended with a score of 4:3 in favor of the patients.
