The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Infectious Diseases at the present stage: problems and solutions" has completed its work

On March 11, 2023, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Infectious diseases at the present stage: problems and solutions" was held at BSMU. The event was organized by Bashkir State Medical University together with the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, the National Association of Specialists in Infectious Diseases named after Academician V.I. Pokrovsky, Bukhara State Medical Institute, Institute of Human Immunology and Genomics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The conference was accredited in the system of continuing medical education (received 6 points), and its program included 26 lecture reports. The event was attended by more than 450 people in full-time and remote format from different cities of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan.

There were reports by leading scientists and specialists in the field of infectious diseases, epidemiology, clinical immunology, phthisiology and related specialties. The conference was opened by the Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Specialists in Infectious Diseases named after Academician V.I. Pokrovsky, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gorelov Alexander Vasilyevich (Moscow) and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases with the course of IDPO, MD, Professor Valishin Damir Askhatovich.

Leading specialists in infectious diseases of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan spoke in a remote format. The program of the event was interesting and rich. Combining scientific information with practical examples, the opportunity to ask questions and get answers to them contributed to the expansion of professional competencies of the conference participants.
