Festival of Languages

The annual Festival of Languages among foreign students brought together almost 400 students from Bashkir State Medical University, Ufa University of Science and Technology, Ulyanovsk State Agronomic University named after P.A. Stolypin and Orenburg State University at four venues.

The participants presented reports on Hindi, Russian, Arabic, English, Korean, Persian, research in the field of linguoculturology, digital and media technologies in communication, TEDTalks-style videos on the topic "What makes my heart sing", conducted master classes on language learning, wearing national clothes and cooking national dishes. Poems and songs in different languages were also performed at the Festival. The novelty of the Festival was theatrical productions in which the guys showed not only their command of the Russian language, but also their acting skills, as well as workshops for the audience and participants of the Festival.

The festival ended with a bright concert program called "Evening of Friendship", where our talented guys congratulated the winners and prize-winners with national dances and songs.

The first photo exhibition dedicated to the native countries of the Festival participants was also organized for the Festival of Languages within the framework of the biennial "Poetry of the Frame". Colorful, full of national color photos create a special mood and give an opportunity to get acquainted with the beauty of different parts of the planet. The exhibition can be viewed at the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication.
