According to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan No. 435-A dated 13.03.23, the II Eurasian Congress of Urology was held in Ufa from March 16 to 17, 2023, organized by the Rector of the Bashkir State Medical University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor V.N. Pavlov.
On March 17, 2023, the Symposium "Neurology" was held, which was attended by more than 150 doctors of various specialties from different cities and districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Russian Federation. Co-chairs: Head of the Department of Neurology, BSMU, Prof. L.B. Novikova ( Ufa); Professor of the Department of Urology and Andrology of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University Krivoborodov ( Moscow); Professor of the Department of Urology of the Pavlov University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation F.I.V. Kuzmin ( St. Petersburg); head. Department of Neurology and Urodynamics of the Research Institute of Urology and Interventional Radiology named after N.A. Lopatkina V.V. Romikh ( Moscow).
The welcoming speech was said by the head of the Department of Neurology of the BSMU, Prof. L.B. Novikova, Professor of the Department of Urology and Andrology of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University Krivoborodov. Reports were heard on topical issues of neurology: a new approach to the treatment of overactive bladder, lower urinary tract dysfunction in multiple sclerosis, pathogenetic aspects of pelvic pain and rational therapy, urorehabilitation of cancer patients, enuresis and neurogenic bladder, botulinum therapy in the sphincter – a place in the modern world, affective and comorbid disorders in urological pathology, etc.
At the end of the reports, an active discussion took place, a large number of questions were asked, which testified to the relevance of the topic and its importance in practical medicine. The joint work of leading scientists, practitioners, and health care organizers will contribute to improving medical care for patients with neurological diseases.
