Today, November 22, BSMU Anniversary Week is continued by lecture and presentation of W.F.Wieland "Russia and Bavaria: Prospects of Academic Cooperation" and “Joint Projects Integration”. Professor Wieland tells about Bayhost in Regensburg, Germany. Bayhost is the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. They promote academic exchange between Bavaria and countries in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe including Russia. Bayhost supports Bavarian universities and universities of applied science through its specific competencies by supporting their collaboration with academic organizations in the partner countries and by establishing new partnerships. The Center gives the opportunity to Russian students and young doctors to get useful experience and practice in German universities as well. Answering BSMU students’ questions Professor Wieland pointed out some important things for applicants like necessity of German language level C1, preferably to be a senior student to attend more clinical disciplines and to get more practical skills and experience.

Such Centers as Bayhost allows to meet other students and young doctors that in the future can become a joint cooperation of young specialists. As Professor W.F.Wieland says, joint scientific research implementation is quite important and highly productive nowadays. He points out that many outstanding scientists are from Russia and their impact in the world science is great and it cannot be reduced. Professor W.F.Wieland hopes that some time later there will be many successful Joint Scientific Researches between our universities.
