On Knowledge Day, Bashkir State Medical University solemnly honored its first-year students. On this day, the students put on white coats for the first time and paraded through the Dynamo stadium by tradition.

The first-year students of Bashkir State Medical University were congratulated with the Day of Knowledge by Valentin Pavlov, Rector of BSMU, academician of RAS, Maxim Zabelin, Head of the Head of Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ayrat Rakhmatullin, Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and Julia Krzyszkowska, Head of the Department of Congenital Immunity and Tolerance of the Institute of Transfusion Medicine and Immunology, Medical University of Mannheim, University of Heidelberg, Germany, Honorary Doctor of BSMU.

- Dear teachers, graduates, parents. Today is a great holiday, the Day of Knowledge, and we welcome our freshmen, the 91st set of the University. I wish that all the years of study, residency and postgraduate studies will be the happiest time of life. The university will do everything to make you the best doctors in the world. The university has all the opportunities for your education. And we say goodbye, first year! - Valentin Pavlov was the first to welcome the first-year students to the Alma mater, which is rightfully considered the leading educational medical institution of the country.

- A long and hard work awaits the students. I am sure that students of the Medical University will bring great benefit to society and make the world a better place. I sincerely wish them good luck, health and prosperity in their future professional path," said Maxim Zabelin, Head of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

After the kind words of the heads of wishes to the first-year students with a 100 - point result on the USE, winners of Olympiads and first-year students with disabilities were given special medical kits.

The solemn event ended with concert numbers of creative teams of the university and flash mob of freshmen.

After the official part, the deans met with the newly minted students and familiarized them with the institutes and faculties, classrooms and laboratories.
