The implantation of an artificial heart ventricle was performed in the Clinic of BSMU

Intracorporeal implantation of an artificial left ventricle of the heart for a patient with severe heart failure was performed in the clinic of BSMU.

The principle of operation of the artificial ventricle: the ventricle pump is arranged on the principle of centrifuge and is driven by a system of magnets. It takes blood and bypasses the heart to deliver it to the aorta. This mechanism reduces the risk of blood clots.
