Delegation of BSMU took part in the 20th Congress of Urological Association of Asia and 12th International Emirates Urology Society Conference

From September 28 to October 1, 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the delegation of BSMU took part in the 20th Congress of Urological Association of Asia and the 12th International Emirates Urology Society Conference.

Bashkir State Medical University was represented by Dr. Valentin Pavlov, Rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Urology Department of the Clinic Anushavan Papoyan, Head of the Oncology Department of the Clinic Marat Urmantsev, Associate Professor of the Urology Department Ruslan Ishemgulov, Associate Professor of the Urology Department of BSMU, Head of the Urology Department of the Central Clinic of Sharjah, UAE, Dr. Emad Iyad, Head of the Molecular Genetics Laboratory of the Institute of Urology and Clinical Oncology, Associate Professor Irina Gilyazova, Head of the Immunology Laboratory of the Institute of Urology and Clinical Oncology, Associate Professor Irina Gilyazova. Rector of BSMU, Valentin Pavlov co-chaired the section "Robotic technologies in urology". Dr. Emad Iyad, Associate Professor of the Department of Urology of BSMU, Head of the Urology Department of the Central Clinic of Sharjah, UAE, made a report: "Fibrotic technologies in urology". Dr. Emad Iyad made a report: "Fibroureterorenoscopy using small caliber ureteroscopes".

Irina Gilyazova, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics of the Institute of Urology and Clinical Oncology, Associate Professor, with her report "Expression of microRNAs in renal cell carcinoma of the kidney: search for key microRNAs in patients of the Volga-Ural region" was awarded 3rd place in the Best Oral presentation nomination.

The program of the forum also includes the report of the team of BSMU "Results of cyber-knife application for stereotactic radiotherapy of low and medium risk prostate cancer".

The forums included meetings with representatives of the medical community of UAE, Europe and Asia, where the issues of cooperation in the field of urology, oncology, ophthalmology, recruitment of foreign students were discussed, within the framework of which the advantages of studying at BSMU were presented.

- Today, at the congress, we are expanding our partnership with the Arab, Iranian and Asian Urology Associations. We have long worked together to promote education and science. Not only the best urologists but also leading university schools are involved in the work of the association. Recently, urology has become a big multimodal problem. We invite nurses, students, young doctors and researchers

to our educational programs. I am confident that the congress will significantly raise the bar of knowledge and practical skills that will allow us to provide medical care to our patients at a higher level," Valentin Nikolaevich told about his participation in the forums.
