Delegation of Samarkand State Medical University visited BSMU

A delegation from Samarkand State Medical University visited Bashkir State Medical University. During the visit, the representatives of the university met with Valentin Nikolayevich Pavlov, Rector of BSMU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. At the meeting the parties discussed the possibility of training students from the Republic of Uzbekistan at Bashkir State Medical University, joint scientific projects and practical training of Samarkand State Medical University students on the basis of BSMU.

Within the framework of the visit to BSMU, the Head of the Department of Pharmacology Soatboy Yuldashev and assistant of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Technology Esan Boymurodov together with the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of SamSMU conducted a series of experimental works in the joint research laboratory on phytochemistry and pharmacology of BSMU. Within the framework of academic mobility SamSMU teachers gave lectures and conducted seminars and practical classes on pharmacology, pharmacognosy, surgery, pediatrics, foreign and Russian languages.

The guests from Uzbekistan visited the building №11 of BSMU, where the graduating departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy are located: the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology with the course of biotechnology, the Department of Pharmacy Management and Economics with the course of medical and pharmaceutical commodity management, the Department of Pharmacognosy with the course of botany and basics of phytotherapy and the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry with the courses of analytical and toxicological chemistry. They also took part in practical classes on pharmacognosy for 1st year undergraduates and a class on biotechnology for 5th year students, listened to a lecture at the Department of Pharmacy Management and Economics and the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

On October 26, 2023 guests from SamSMU visited the South Ural Botanical Garden-Institute and Training and Experimental Farm "Limonarium" with Kira Pupykina, professor of the Department of Pharmacognosy with a course of botany and basics of phytotherapy. They got acquainted with exotic, useful and medicinal plants, citrus collection, cultivated on the territory of the botanical garden and limonarium.
