Srishti Sharma, a third-year student of the International Faculty, under the guidance of Merri Petrosyan, a senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication of BSMU, took the first place in the Russian-Indian Youth Essay Contest on "Russian-Indian Relations: Past, Present, Future". The contest was organized by the Center for South Asian Studies of the Institute of International Studies of MGIMO together with the Hindi Guru School educational platform.
In total, more than ten students from Bashkir State Medical University took part in the competition. All participants showed a decent level of proficiency not only in the Russian language, but also in the history and culture of their native country and the country where they receive higher education.
"I wrote the essay with great interest because I was hooked by the topic. It was very curious to research it. I am glad that I got a chance to have this experience," shares Srishti Sharma.
