Academic mobility as one of the directions for cooperation with Kazakhstan universities

From 04.12.2023 to 14.12.2023 in the framework of implementation of the program of academic mobility for students of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy on specialty "Pharmacy" visited the professor of the Department of Pharmacognosy with a course of botany and basics of phytotherapy of Bashkir State Medical University, Dr. Kira Pupykina to the Department of Pharmacognosy to give lectures and practical classes.

A meeting with the Rector of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Professor Myrzabek Rysbekov was held, during which they discussed issues of further cooperation between partner universities in the field of research work, academic mobility of teachers, coordination of activities for the implementation of academic mobility of teaching staff and students, as well as joint scientific projects and educational programs.

Laboratory classes, independent work of students with the teacher and acceptance of boundary control in students of 3, 4, 5 courses on disciplines "Pharmacognosy", "Resource science and ecology of medicinal plants", "Analysis and standardization of medicinal plant raw materials", participation in the interim report of students on project-oriented learning were conducted.

Since the beginning of the new academic year, project-oriented learning of students was introduced in SKMA in order to increase scientific interest. Pupykina K.A. listened to the students' interim report on the results of the project-oriented learning and asked interesting questions, the students found the foreign professor's advice and recommendations very useful.

On December 6, 2023, the First International Forum of Young Scientists and Students was held in the walls of SKMA. The Forum is a communication platform, the purpose of which is to exchange knowledge, skills, experience between researchers, scientists and students from different countries, to establish a platform for sharing scientific achievements of young scientists from around the world, to discuss the most pressing issues of concern to young researchers, and to promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge among young people. At the plenary session, Prof. Pupykina K.A. made a report on "The main directions of educational and scientific activities of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Bashkir State Medical University". At the end of her speech, the participant was awarded with a diploma.

On December 7-8, 2023, the X International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Students "Prospects of Development of Biology, Medicine and Pharmacy" was held in offline and online formats. The conference is organized by the Science Council under the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation and the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. On section "Natural medicines and prospects of their application" 84 scientific articles were received and more than 20 reports were heard.

Pupykina K.A., Farmanova N.T., Orynbasarova K.K. acted as moderators at the sectional meeting of the scientific conference, during which the moderators asked questions and evaluated the speakers.

The conference was attended by young scientists from different countries, interested in science, expressing great hopes. These are young scientists from universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Pyatigorsk Medical and Pharmaceutical Institute, Bashkir State Medical University, Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino, Novosibirsk State Medical University, Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev, Osh State University Medical Faculty (specialty Pharmacy), Sechenov University, A.P. Nelyubin, Opole University (Opole, Poland), "All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants" (Moscow), Pharmaceutical Institute of Education and Research (Tashkent), Tajik National University (Dushanbe, Tajikistan) and others.

According to the results of the conference, all conference participants were awarded certificates. The best speakers in the youth competition among students, undergraduates, graduate students, postgraduates and doctoral students were determined. They were awarded honorary diplomas and memorable statuettes.

Pupykina K.A. visited Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute to get acquainted with the university and conclude a cooperation agreement.

The staff of the Department of Pharmacognosy with a course of botany and the basics of phytotherapy expresses great appreciation and gratitude to the leadership of BSMU and SKMA for the opportunity and productive joint activities within the framework of the realization of academic mobility and participation in such a significant forum for education and science.
