BSMU students became winners of social and technological gas pedals of the Eurasian REC

The management company of Bashkortostan REC summarized the results of two gas pedals of youth student projects: the social gas pedal "University Impulse 2.0" and the technological gas pedal "Innovation Impulse".

"Bashkortostan became one of the first regions to launch such a project in an interuniversity format. The Eurasian REC is becoming a unified center for social project initiatives and technological entrepreneurship," said Maxim Zabelin, Head of Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

More than 400 young scientists from 5 universities-participants of the Eurasian Research Center took part in gas pedals: BSMU, UUST, USPTU, BSPU and BSAU.

Students developed their projects and business ideas under the guidance of experts and mentors, interacting with federal experts of "Rosmolodezh. Grants", investors, development institutions and ITMO representatives.

The participants of the Accelerator of youth student projects were 260 students with 74 project initiatives from 5 universities-participants of the Eurasian Research Center: UUST, USPTU, BSPU, BSAU and BSMU.

Two projects of BSMU students received a grant in the category "Small project (100 - 500 thousand rubles)": career guidance medical academy "Mom, I am a Pediatrician!" and dental career guidance "ProfStomat".

The project "Mom, I am a Pediatrician!" implies holding a cluster multi-Olympiad in pediatrics for pediatric students of the Volga Federal District and Urals Federal District. Dental career guidance "ProfStomat" - a project of career guidance for schoolchildren of 10-11 grades of Ufa schools, which will be held in the format of master classes on phantom models is aimed at helping schoolchildren (future applicants) to decide on their future profession in the medical field.

Throughout the educational program under the guidance of experts of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the participants of the Accelerator prepared project passports and presentations for presentation at the Demo Day. 30 projects (USPTU - 16 projects, BSAU - 8 projects, UUST - 3 projects, BSMU - 2 projects, BSPU - 1 project) were admitted to the Demo Day for the requested amount of funding of about 14.5 million rubles: 3 projects up to 100 thousand rubles, 15 projects 100-500 thousand rubles and 12 projects from 500 thousand rubles.

Based on the results of the Demo Day, 9 winning projects totaling 5,255,377.50 rubles (USPTU - 5 projects, BSAU - 1 project, UUST - 1 project, BSMU - 2 projects) will be funded at the rate of 20% from the funds of the Republic of Bashkortostan and 80% from the funds of universities - participants of the Eurasian REC.

Four student projects of Bashkir State Medical University became winners of the Technology Entrepreneurship Accelerator "Impulse of Innovations 2.0": development of an anti-tuberculosis drug of plant origin, development of a web application for identification of microscopic fungi MicroFungi ID, ALLOINK matrigel for bioprinting and development of a drug candidate for treatment of depressive disorders.
