The Rector of the University met with students who have received Russian citizenship

The Rector of the University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Valentin Pavlov organized a solemn meeting with new citizens of the Russian Federation.

Foreign students of Bashkir State Medical University, who recently became citizens of Russia, took part in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation for the first time in their lives. It was an important event for them, symbolizing their new status and civic responsibilities in the country they can now call home.

The meeting took place on the first day of the Russian presidential election. The participants of the meeting are from different countries: Nigeria, Yemen, Vietnam, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. Most of them are still studying at various university courses. Someone has already graduated from University, like trainee doctor Olalekan Samuel Akinyemi from Nigeria.

New citizens of the Russian Federation told the rector about their choice of specialty, life in Russia and their vision of choosing Russian citizenship.

During the meeting, the rector told the students about the Russian state system and presented them with medical gowns with the university's corporate logo.
