The International Language Festival was held at BSMU

From March 29 to March 30, Bashkir State Medical University hosted a traditional International Language Festival. The festival was organized by the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication of BSMU and the Dean's Office for Work with Foreign students. The event included a scientific and practical conference, a creative competition "A talented person is talented in everything", as well as master classes. For the first time, it was held on the territory of the Eurasian REC.

This year, more than 150 participants from different countries took part in the festival: Morocco, Colombia, Nigeria, Haiti, Turkmenistan, Serbia, India, Angola, Iran, Egypt, etc. In addition to foreign students of BSMU, the event was attended by students of Ufa University of Science and Technology, A. I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University, Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky, Tyumen State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Kirov State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the University in East Sarajevo (Serbia).

The students presented reports in the field of linguoculturology, research on manipulation strategies in media texts, on the problems of nomination in different languages, on translation difficulties; conducted master classes on language learning, teaching Indian dances and cooking national dishes. Poems and songs in different languages were also performed at the festival. The participants presented theatrical productions, choral miniatures, in which they demonstrated not only their command of the Russian language, but also their acting skills.
