Awarding Mingazetdinov Askhat, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, with the Order of M. Shaimuratov

A rally dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the University on May 8. The key event was awarding the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Mingazetdinov Askhat with the Order of Minigali Shaimuratov. Rector of BSMU, academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, professor Valentin Pavlov presented the veteran with the state award of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

- Today, on the eve of the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Askhat Askarovich Mingazetdinov - veteran of the Great Patriotic War, holder of the Order of the Red Star, holder of the Order of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. I and II degree, awarded medals "For Bravery", "For the Liberation of Belarus", candidate of medical sciences, associate professor, excellent public health worker of the USSR, doctor of the highest category, by the Decree of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan for selflessness and courage shown in the performance of military and civil duty was awarded the Order of Minigali Shaimuratov. This is a great honor and joy for us. From the bottom of my heart I congratulate Askhat Askarovich on the Day of Great Victory and the awarding of the Order! It is nice to see him in the walls of his native university - said the rector.

It should be noted that on April 3, 2024 Askhat Askarovich celebrated his 100th birthday.

Mingazetdinov Askhat Askarovich Mingazetdinov was sent to the front at the age of 17, after graduating from the Moscow Military Engineering School, as a member of the Moscow People's Militia Division. He fought as a scout in the Western, Bryansk and 2nd Belorussian fronts. He graduated from Ufa Medical School, Bashkir Agricultural Institute (1956), Bashkir State Medical Institute (1968). Askhat Askarovich worked as a doctor for more than 50 years, defended his PhD thesis. From 1979 to 1987 he headed the sector of research works of BSMI. Scientific activity is devoted to the problems of water hygiene, sanitary protection of water reservoirs, water supply to the population of cities. Over the years he wrote more than 70 scientific works, as well as many books about the war.
