On the second day of the visit to Harbin (PRC) the delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan visited the VIII Russian-Chinese EXPO with a total number of 40 people headed by Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov.
A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the EXPO. On May 18, the exhibition opened to the public.
The VIII Russia-China EXPO takes place in Harbin on May 17-21, 2024. The exhibition has been held annually since 2014 with alternating countries and is an important trade and industrial platform promoting the expansion and diversification of partnership between Russia and China.
EXPO traditionally includes a large-scale exhibition exposition. 2024 presents innovative developments and joint Russian-Chinese projects in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, solutions for energy, information technology, production financing, logistics and other areas. Special attention at the exhibition is paid to the presentation of Russia's tourism potential.
Russia is represented at the Expo by 16 regions: Moscow, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Yakutia, Udmurtia, Primorsky, Khabarovsk, Kamchatka and Transbaikal Territories, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Amur, Arkhangelsk, Tula, Vladimir and Tver Regions.
This year, the IV Russian-Chinese Forum on Interregional Cooperation is taking place within the framework of the EXPO. It is attended by 28 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
One of the largest expositions is the exhibition of the Republic of Bashkortostan, which presents the achievements of the Republic. In addition, the information stand broadcasts videos of Chinese students studying in Bashkortostan, including BSMU student Wu Tou, as well as Bashkir undergraduate and graduate students studying in China.
At the exhibition, the delegation visited the exhibition of medical equipment from the PRC for possible cooperation in this area.
