Visit of BSMU delegation to Harbin (PRC) and Harbin Medical University

BSMU delegation visited Harbin (PRC) within the framework of the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Bashkortostan delegation headed by Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrei Nazarov.

The BSMU delegation consisted of Professor Milyausha Kabirova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, and Professor Naufal Zagidullin, Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine.

On the first day the delegation met with the management of Harbin Medical University represented by Vice-President Prof. Xu Wanhai, staff of the Institute of International Education and International Activities. Also 10 PhD students of BSMU, who are currently undergoing postgraduate studies in HMU, were present. Prof. Milyausha Kabirova handed the standard of BSMU to the Vice-Rector of HMU.

The meeting highlighted the successes of cooperation between the two universities: postgraduate program, joint scientific publications, internships, participation in Olympiads and scientific congresses over the years.

They discussed issues of further strengthening of cooperation, namely faculty internships, online teaching of students by teachers of a friendly university, student exchanges, internships of residents and other issues.

The University delegation was given a tour of the Institute of Pharmacology, which is headed by the former President (Rector) of HMU, Academician Yang Baofeng. Currently, most of our postgraduate students are carrying out research projects at the Institute of Pharmacology.

Also employees of BSMU visited the exposition of the Republic of Bashkortostan, within the framework of which there is a discussion of cooperation between entrepreneurs from Bashkiria and the People's Republic of China.

On the same day, during his state visit to China, Vladimir Putin visited Harbin Polytechnic University and held a meeting with Chinese and Russian students and professors of the university.

The Russian President also familiarized himself with the university's museum exposition. Mr. Putin was told about the history of the university and its achievements. Archival photos and documents became part of the exposition. Developments for different industries and areas of economy were also presented.
