Dear employees of the University, staff, faculty, doctors of our clinics and the entire medical community of the republic, let me congratulate all of us on our professional holiday - Medical Worker's Day!

This holiday became our professional holiday many years ago and today a large number of doctors, nurses, students, graduates of our University perform their medical and civil duty, implementing priority projects of the Russian Federation and providing medical care in many countries of the world.

Today we have more than 15,000 students studying at the University and more than 50,000 patients undergoing treatment: in the Clinic of BSMU, in the All-Russian Eye and Plastic Surgery Center, in the Ufa Research Institute of Eye Diseases.

Bashkir State Medical University has established itself as a major center of medical education and world-class science development. Now BSMU, among other things, is a modern center of highly specialized and qualified medical care.

Dear colleagues, dear friends, today we summarize the results of our professional year. The year for the development of the University was successful. We have become a Big University. Bashkir State Medical University implements modern, in-demand educational programs.

Our Medical University is a participant of all major federal projects - the "Priority 2030" program, a participant of the world-class Eurasian Research and Development Center, a resident of the Interuniversity Student Campus of Ufa.

Bashkir Medical University responds to the challenges of time not only with modern educational programs, but also through infrastructure development - new world-class laboratories with high-tech equipment, new subdivisions, Centers and new departments are opened on the basis of BSMU. We are becoming an innovative University, we are becoming a HEI that has its own scientific tracks of fundamental and translational medicine.

Bashkir State Medical University is actively developing robotic surgery. We are the only center in the Volga Federal District that has the ability to perform robotic surgeries at the highest level. The day before we presented a new robotic orthopedic surgeon, which allows us to perform prosthetics of large joints using the most advanced medical technologies.

Our ophthalmology centers are also actively developing: we have become known not only in Russia, but also far beyond its borders. Our ophthalmologic care service attracts thousands of patients from all over the world.

The international recognition of our university is also growing. Today more than 5000 students from 64 countries of the world learn the basics of medical skills at our University.

The university actively participates in the life of the country. We, having come out of the covid and lending a shoulder to many regions of Russia, are now actively working in new territories. Eight medical teams have fulfilled their professional and civic duty in the new territories of the Russian Federation.
